This is a delicious California sauv blanc with bright citrusy notes and an elegant aromatic finish. Upfront you’ll find lime zest, ripe kiwi and ripe pear. Secondary notes of honeysuckle and jasmine flower give this wine a balanced and clean finish.

Food pairing notes
This pairs perfectly with lighter style dishes, like a spring salad with fresh fruit and a vinaigrette dressing, or lemon drizzled tilapia with jasmine rice. Stick to lighter style cheeses like goat or feta, or even some brie if you want to change it up a bit. Or, do what Llama Llama does and pair it with a swimming pool and flamingo floaty on a hot afternoon.

Somm notes
Our sauv blanc hails from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma, California. Known for cooler climates than its Napa neighbor, this region produces a crisper style with brighter acidity and a cleaner finish. You’ll notice a difference from French or New Zealand sauv blancs, which can be more mineral driven or grapefruit like respectively. Most who say they don’t like sauv blancs tend to not like the grassiness or ruby grapefruit flavors from New Zealand; Llama Llama sauv blanc does not feature these flavors and is loved by those who appreciate lighter and brighter style whites.
